Job Function: Transportation & Fleet Operations

Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate a vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Transport loads safely and on schedule along required routes while obeying traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver trucks and trailers into loading and unloading areas and follow loading crew signals.
  • •Load and unload goods and materials using specialized equipment when warranted; maintain paperwork such as invoices and bills of lading.
  • •Facilitate routine truck service and arrange trailers in shipping yards for optimum loading patterns.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) or a chauffeur’s license, depending on state and the vehicle weight.
  • •Pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state transportation regulations.
  • •Pass a DOT physical, as trucks driven are over 10k lbs.
  • •Be at least 21 years old to operate a company vehicle.
  • •Lift and move up to 40 pounds, and be able to work while seated in a trailer cab for long periods.
