Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead technical delivery of transportation structures including bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and other civil structures from conceptual through detail design
  • •Oversee bridge inspections, assessments, rehabilitation design, quantities and construction cost estimates, review of designs and shop drawings, and report preparation
  • •Manage design schedules, budgets, and quality standards to ensure flawless execution
  • •Serve as trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic input and building long-term relationships
  • •Drive proposal development and contribute to Future Ready initiatives; mentor junior staff and foster collaboration

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master’s or PhD preferred
  • •Licensed as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario
  • •10–20+ years of experience in bridge engineering with minimum 5 years in transportation sector in Ontario
  • •5 years direct involvement in or managing pursuits/proposals for engineering design and/or construction services
  • •Proven experience leading projects across Ontario including planning, preliminary and detail design, and construction of bridges and culverts; knowledge of Design-Build/P3 projects; working knowledge of CSIBridge, MIDAS; CAN/CSA-S6; BIM (assets); ability to respond to RFPs/EI/SQs
