Key Responsibilities

  • •Build UX and tools that enable people to create their own cloud experiences (MAAS, LXD, MicroCloud, Canonical k8s).
  • •Collaborate with product managers and engineers to shape “self-sovereign clouds” for the future of the Data Center.
  • •Support deeply complex infrastructure products using design processes and UX heuristics.
  • •Evolve and evangelise design systems to drive consistency and efficiency.
  • •Work with a cross-functional working group to support Canonical design’s horizontal efforts.

Key Requirements

  • •Exceptional academic track record from high school and university.
  • •Bachelor’s or equivalent in User Experience, Design, or STEM (or a compelling alternative path).
  • •Strong knowledge of user experience and technology, with passion for designing user experiences for real systems.
  • •Confidence in user research practices and engagement with the latest design research and innovation.
  • •Comfort working with cross-functional engineers, designers, and executives, and ability to travel internationally twice a year up to two weeks.
