Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage retail or further (value add) processing production line/department to meet production schedules, improve efficiencies, and achieve budget objectives.
  • •Deploy and rotate personnel to optimize efficiency and ergonomics while meeting production schedules.
  • •Ensure daily reporting is accurately completed and recorded (departmental reports, attendance/staffing, yields).
  • •Identify and communicate opportunities for process optimization and lead/participate in process improvement planning to address unfavorable trends.
  • •Partner with Quality Assurance to maintain a food-safe, sanitary environment and follow all USDA requirements; mentor, coach, and train employees.

Key Requirements

  • •1+ year of experience in a manufacturing setting (3+ years in food manufacturing or poultry industry preferred).
  • •1+ year of leadership experience, including timekeeping requirements, policy adherence, conflict resolution, and resolving issues efficiently.
  • •Working knowledge of poultry processing, food safety regulations, OSHA guidelines, GMP, and HACCP.
  • •Ability to effectively communicate in English (verbal and written) with internal and external customers.
  • •High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree with relevant coursework preferred.
