Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform repairs, improvements, and mold changes on production equipment, and maintain preventative maintenance.
  • •Ensure safe and proper operating conditions for production and related equipment.
  • •Analyze and resolve equipment issues; recommend, plan, repair, modify, and fabricate necessary elements to improve productivity.
  • •Maintain cleanliness of equipment and related areas after repairs/PMs, and keep tools and maintenance stock organized.
  • •Assist in updating the equipment PM program and support production employees with machine conversions, PMs, installations, commissioning, and testing.

Key Requirements

  • •Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college/technical school, or five years of related experience and/or training.
  • •Provincial/Industrial mechanic certification.
  • •Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and basic knowledge of electricity and control.
  • •Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and diagrams, and communicate effectively in English.
  • •Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while meeting physical demands (standing/walking up to 12 hours and occasional heavy lifting).
