Key Responsibilities

  • •Carry out safety walkthroughs on all floors of the project site and report infringements.
  • •Manage Health & Safety Systems on a large-scale construction project; assist the Construction Manager with HS procedures on-site.
  • •Ensure work methods comply with legal, company requirements and main contractor’s scope and MSs.
  • •Conduct checks of training and competence for site staff and sub-contractors; produce daily floor-by-floor HSE infringement reports.
  • •Develop the HSE plan and support execution, incorporating OSHA standards, and oversee contractor's HSE team.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum of 8-12 years’ experience in a Construction Safety role with experience on full cycle of greenfield high-tech manufacturing projects (data centers, clean rooms, laboratories, hospitals).
  • •Strong understanding of risk assessments, Method Statements, employee and manager training, and safety auditing.
  • •Excellent communication skills in Japanese and English, both written and spoken.
  • •Willingness to lead and influence diverse groups to ensure HS compliance on site and to educate workers with limited language ability.
  • •Desirable: knowledge of OSH/NEBOSH/DOSH and local HSE registration.
