Job Summary

Provide BAU operational support for customer infrastructure, managing incidents, problems, requests, and changes in line with ITIL while maintaining SLA performance. Perform root-cause analysis for major and recurring incidents, help ensure customer designs meet requirements, and keep environments aligned to standards and compliance needs. Contribute to infrastructure roadmaps and proposals, deliver project-related installations and configurations, and help design and implement new infrastructure platforms using Infrastructure as Code.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide BAU operational support across customer infrastructure, including health checks and reporting.
•Manage incidents and problems within agreed service levels and maintain SLA performance.
•Perform technical root cause analysis for reoccurring incidents and major incidents.
•Ensure technical documentation is completed and updated to professional standards.
•Contribute to infrastructure platform design and implementation, including Infrastructure as Code and project installation/configuration tasks.

Key Requirements

•Self-motivated engineer with hands-on datacentre and IT infrastructure support/operations experience at enterprise level.
•Ability to troubleshoot complex, multi-site and multi-discipline incidents and problems.
•Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Server, virtualization, and Public Cloud (Azure) gained in a hands-on technical support role.
•Experience with server virtualization (Hyper-V preferred), Windows Server OS, Active Directory, Entra ID, DNS/DHCP.
•Certification from major vendors (Microsoft, VMware, etc.) at associate/professional level, plus willingness to undertake HM Government security clearance.
