Job Summary

Senior Electrical Engineer in Seattle leads design of building electrical systems across markets including Federal, Commercial, Healthcare, and Education. You’ll perform technical calculations from conceptual design through construction administration, mentor junior staff, coordinate with clients and disciplines, and help advance decarbonization, renewable energy, and energy-conservation initiatives within a multidisciplinary Buildings + Places team.

Key Responsibilities

•Electrical engineering from conceptual design through construction administration and post-occupancy including writing reports for internal and external purposes based on findings.
•Be competent in all aspects of building electrical systems design for a variety of types of projects or markets to complete routing engineering assignments and calculations.
•Writing reports for internal and external purposes based on findings.
•Stays current on codes and technologies appropriate for building electrical systems including power, lighting, telecommunications and fire alarm systems.
•Coordinating with the client and multiple disciplines, acting as electrical engineer point of contact to ensure that projects are delivered within budget and on schedule.

Travel: Low travel

Salary: USD 130,000 - 175,000 annually

Key Requirements

•BA/BS in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering or similar +6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
•Professional Engineer (PE) Registration.
•Preferred: 10+ years' experience designing building electrical systems.
•Strong knowledge of NEC, WSEC, UFC, ASHRAE, IECC.
•Experience with renewable energy, microgrids, and energy analysis to optimize systems.
