Key Responsibilities

  • •Assess project opportunities and evaluate technical and commercial viability to develop approaches for new customers and maintain relationships.
  • •Lead project/capture strategy and project management tasks from origination and offers through signing project-related contracts, including bid/no-bid recommendations.
  • •Coordinate contract negotiations with the legal team and prepare offers with the Proposal & Estimation group, including offer presentations and bid reviews.
  • •Develop quarterly forecasts, monitor and manage department budgets, and report on targeted prospects with verifiable input.
  • •Provide leadership across multi-disciplinary international teams and ensure compliance with McDermott policies, procedures, and mandatory training requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years of experience in a similar business development position in the oil & gas industry.
  • •Extensive offshore oil and gas experience across multiple organizational functions.
  • •Strong ability to combine technology with commercial and legal aspects of projects while managing internal and external interfaces.
  • •Knowledge of commercial (contractual), financial, and risk principles plus end-market solutions, industry drivers, and geographical trends.
  • •Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce) and advanced computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
