Job Summary

Senior Structural Engineer in a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy team in India. Lead building-structure design to industry standards, coordinate with UK/ South Africa teams, and ensure QA/QC through RAM, ETabs and CSC workflows. Work in a hybrid mode on infrastructure and buildings projects, mentoring junior engineers and delivering cost-effective structural solutions.

Key Responsibilities

•Prepare feasibility study reports to meet brief requirements and review with the Associates/Principals of Structures.
•Carry out detailed design to applicable regulations, ensuring CDM, QA and technical review and sign-off by the Associate/Principal Engineer of Structures.
•Lead the design process and encourage the team to deliver cost-effective solutions within the programme.
•Review and monitor calculations, QA checks and sign-off to ensure accuracy and compliance.
•Coordinate information for tender documents and assist in design progress communication with UK Team.

Key Requirements

•Proven experience in the design of Building Structures in a similar role, with a strong track record
•Ideally British Chartered Engineer status or equivalent, with a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and membership to an accredited engineering body
•Demonstrable management, communication and technical skills, capable of working both in a team and independently
•Excellent presentation skills and ability to communicate complex concepts clearly
•Fluent in English with a strong understanding of technical terminology and document control procedures
