Key Responsibilities

•Oversee and deliver mechanical building services design across healthcare, education and defence projects, coordinating with other disciplines to produce practical solutions.
•Manage a small team of engineers, provide specialist input, and mentor junior and graduate engineers.
•Prepare fee estimates, design programmes and ensure deliverables meet client expectations and project milestones.
•Perform quality checks on calculations, drawings and models, and write technical specifications for mechanical systems in line with relevant standards.
•Support budgeting and scheduling to meet project requirements and clinical commissioning dates, utilising BIM and other software tools.

Key Requirements

•Degree in Building Services or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
•Chartered, or actively working towards chartership, with a relevant professional body such as CIBSE.
•Extensive post‑graduate experience in mechanical building services design, with significant exposure to healthcare, education and/or defence projects.
•Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in dealing with clients and stakeholders across healthcare, education and defence sectors.
•Experience delivering projects using BIM software and familiar with HTM/HBN guidance; knowledge of HTM and HBN guidance related to healthcare facilities.
