Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform electrical studies covering protective relaying, time-current coordination, relay settings, SCADA integration, and NERC compliance (including arc flash analysis).
  • •Conduct power system planning studies such as load flow, reactive power analysis, voltage stability assessment, and dynamic stability performance.
  • •Support design studies including substation grounding, corona, electric/magnetic fields, insulation coordination, transient simulation, and power quality analysis.
  • •Design and configure networking/communications and develop logic/control schemes for remote and local operation of power system equipment.
  • •Write technical reports and assist with risk identification, work plan preparation/coordination, permitting, and assigned training tasks.

Key Requirements

  • •BSEE/BSEET or BSCE degree from an ABET-accredited university.
  • •3 to 5 years of industry experience performing design or device configuration in relevant technical disciplines.
  • •Knowledge of electrical engineering principles and their application to permitting and project work issues.
  • •Analytical mindset with sound judgment, including the ability to communicate effectively with engineering and non-engineering audiences.
  • •Basic proficiency with technical writing and software/tools, plus the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
