Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, validate, and implement SMT manufacturing systems, including documentation (PFMEA, work instructions, flow charts, procedures) and process controls.
  • •Support production areas and contribute to SQDCI metrics for the focus factory.
  • •Lead capital investment projects for productivity, cost savings, and replacement of obsolete equipment; coordinate timelines for successful implementation.
  • •Manage SMT technicians and SMT engineers for production support, program development, and NPI support.
  • •Drive continuous improvement by implementing standard work, leading VSM/Kaizen events, running Lean initiatives, and improving pass rates and reducing rejection rates using production data and corrective actions.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Electronics, Mechanics, or similar.
  • •Minimum 3 years of experience in SMT manufacturing and equipment areas.
  • •Experience with process and equipment validation and methodologies such as PFMEA, process flow, and APQP.
  • •Strong knowledge of IPC-A-610 and IPC-7711/21, plus basic knowledge of IATF-16949 and CQI-17.
  • •Strong written/verbal communication in English and Spanish, with leadership and analytical/organizational skills.
