Key Responsibilities

  • •Insert chickens into moving shackles using provided tools in accordance with USDA and company standards.
  • •Place live birds into the 6th shackle and re-hang any birds hung by only one leg.
  • •Operate equipment and monitor its operation, reporting malfunctions and safety concerns promptly.
  • •Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety, food safety, and animal welfare guidelines.
  • •Perform related production support tasks (e.g., cage dumping, yard jockey duties, floor relief, and other assigned duties as needed).

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED preferred.
  • •Poultry or food industry experience is a plus.
  • •Ability to multitask and work quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • •Strong communication skills and ability to comprehend and follow simple instructions safely.
  • •Physical ability to stand and use hands 8–11 hours per day and lift 50 lbs or more, in hot or cool temperatures.
