Key Responsibilities

  • •Supervise bank-wide allocation of liquid assets’ deployments and short-term borrowings to maximize margins while staying compliant with liquidity regulations and internal ALCO policies.
  • •Maximize UAE money book investment returns while maintaining sufficient liquidity to ensure seamless operations and adherence to regulatory and ALCO/FC guidelines.
  • •Assist IBG and FI branches in managing excess liquidity by suggesting and booking trades that optimize regulatory ratios and money book margins at country and consolidated balance-sheet levels.
  • •Translate the board-approved liquidity risk tolerance policy into strategies, limits, warning indicators, and escalation procedures; maintain liquidity contingency funding plans and annual funding plans.
  • •Quote USD/AED and other GCC currencies for spot, forward, and swaps; manage Nostro positions and long USD exchange exposure within approved ALCO limits; oversee Islamic treasury functions in line with Sharia principles.

Key Requirements

  • •Graduate qualification with a Masters preferred and 9 to 10 years of Money Markets and trading experience in a large institution, including leadership of the Money Markets function.
  • •Complete knowledge of Basel and other liquidity regulations plus the bank’s treasury-related policies, procedures, and operating systems.
  • •Hands-on familiarity with Operations/TOC processes.
  • •Strong product and service knowledge and marketing skills.
  • •Excellent interpersonal, communication, lateral thinking, and analytical skills, with ability to work as a team player.
