Key Responsibilities

  • •Complete surface plate work/inspection of machined aerospace and commercial parts.
  • •Inspect supplied products to confirm conformity to drawings and work order specifications.
  • •Perform in-process visual and/or dimensional inspection of precision machined parts.
  • •Interact with production to improve products and reduce defects, and help resolve quality issues.
  • •Document nonconformances and support continual improvement and Lean initiatives within the quality management system.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • •2+ years of quality inspection experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment.
  • •1+ years of experience with blueprint reading and/or GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing).
  • •Ability to review drawings and identify improper callouts/datum structures, according to ASME Y14.5.
  • •Understanding of ISO 9001/AS9100 quality management systems.
