Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct in-depth analytical research into AML Transaction Monitoring model performance and behavior changes, including alert-volume and transaction-pattern shifts.
  • •Execute and document periodic testing and performance reviews aligned to regulatory expectations and internal risk standards.
  • •Review and challenge model behavior, limitations, and assumptions; identify potential control gaps and recommend remediation actions.
  • •Perform comprehensive code reviews and code change assessments to ensure alignment with documented intent, coding standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • •Assess threshold and sampling soundness through below-the-line (BTL) reviews and support ongoing calibration decisions; prepare materials for senior leadership, Model Risk Management, and auditors.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field with at least 8 years of relevant experience (or MA/MS with 5+ years, or PhD with 4+ years).
  • •Proficiency in SAS, SQL, and Python for data analysis, testing, automation, and code review.
  • •Strong understanding of model risk concepts, performance monitoring, sampling methodologies, and root cause analysis.
