Job Summary

Install and terminate audio-visual system components for contracted AVI-SPL projects, including cable pulls, rack fabrication/wiring, and equipment layout. Lead and direct installation crews on less complex jobs by coordinating with the Project Manager to deliver on time, scope, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. Read schematics/blueprints, troubleshoot AV systems, test cabling, manage tools/equipment, coordinate with other trades, and provide on-site client support and training.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform installation tasks for AVI-SPL contracted projects, including cable pulls/terminations, rack fabrication and wiring, and equipment/metal layout.
•Lead and direct installation crews on less complex projects by coordinating and reporting progress to the Project Manager.
•Oversee Level 1 technicians’ quality of work and conduct client training per project scope.
•Read and interpret system schematics and architectural/construction blueprints.
•Test and troubleshoot point-to-point cabling and AV system functionality; manage jobsite equipment/tools and communicate daily status to the Project Manager.

Key Requirements

•2–4 years of audiovisual installation experience, including installing/terminating/troubleshooting low-voltage cabling (HDMI, CAT5e/6, fiber optic).
•Intermediate understanding of audio-visual systems (projectors, screens, speakers, microphones, video conferencing, digital signage, control systems).
•Experience with conduit runs, cable trays, and other wiring methods.
•Ability to read/interprete project system schematics and architectural/construction blueprints.
•High school diploma (or equivalent) and a valid driver’s license with an MVR meeting company driving standards.
