Job Summary

Advise Defence and Energy sector clients on procurement and funding strategies aligned to Net Zero targets. Support clients across the programme lifecycle, focusing on business case development and major infrastructure delivery using public funding and/or private capital. Contribute to strategic and commercial assessment, develop optimal solutions, and influence stakeholders through clear, persuasive communication. Help improve Turner & Townsend processes, contribute to communities of practice, and identify business generation opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

•Work with Defence and Energy sector clients on procurement and funding strategy development, implementation, and optimisation for Net Zero outcomes.
•Advise on major programme/project set-up, development, and delivery across the programme lifecycle, with emphasis on business case development and major infrastructure using public and/or private capital.
•Contribute to strategic and commercial assessment of business challenges and development and implementation of optimal solutions.
•Engage and influence a wide range of clients and stakeholders to successfully implement and realise business outcomes.
•Present ideas and outputs clearly, tailor Turner & Townsend processes/tools/systems to client circumstances, and support business generation opportunities where appropriate.

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•Must be able to attain UK MoD Security Clearance (British Nationals only need apply).
•Experience of government Greenbook business case development.
•Ability to write HMT Green Book Business across all five cases and familiarisation with HMT Green Book business case economic principles.
•Experience working in the Defence and/or public infrastructure sector, including managing transactions/projects in public sector delivery settings.
•Knowledge of economic benefit assessment, including social value, community benefits, and low carbon transition, plus experience with departmental governance for approvals.
