Job Summary

Maintain and troubleshoot Pike Industries’ heavy equipment fleet, working both in the shop and as needed at field jobsites. Schedule planned maintenance and coordinate parts/PM service in conjunction with the Equipment Manager. Inspect equipment for damage or malfunctions and collaborate with superintendents, operators, and project managers. Lead the equipment team’s safety practices by conducting toolbox talks and safety training, while staying current on new equipment technology.

Job Function: Field Service, Maintenance & Skilled Trades

Key Responsibilities

•Travel in the field and jobsites and work in the shop as needed (CDL a plus)
•Plan work procedures (scheduling) and coordinate possible solutions such as parts and PM service with the Equipment Manager
•Troubleshoot and maintain heavy equipment including dump trucks, pavers, reclaim and milling machines, loaders, graders, dozers, pavers and rollers
•Examine equipment and discuss damage or malfunction with superintendent, operator, or project manager
•Ensure equipment team engagement in safety best practices; conduct safety training and toolbox talks, and work with equipment manufacturers to keep up with new technology
