Key Responsibilities

  • •Collaborate with Design Engineering from conceptual stage through release to volume manufacturing while driving DFx.
  • •Generate and maintain detailed assembly and inspection instructions; conduct hands-on training with technicians.
  • •Provide process development support to module manufacturing partners and act as a focal point for problem resolution.
  • •Initiate and direct production tooling, fixtures, and automation equipment design/implementation/maintenance to support process development and quality improvements.
  • •Drive continuous improvement through defect trend reporting, analysis, and metrics reviews to meet or exceed yield targets.

Key Requirements

  • •BS Engineering degree with 5+ years of optical/electronics manufacturing experience.
  • •Hands-on experience in product transfers and quick volume ramping at contract manufacturers.
  • •Expertise using SPC, FMEA, and DOE to analyze data, drive continuous improvement, and cost reduction actions (e.g., Cpk).
  • •Experience with assembly automation equipment for high-volume manufacturing such as pick and place, dispensing, and wire-bonding.
  • •3+ years experience with Solidworks (or comparable) CAD software, plus exposure to surface mount technology and thru-hole manual soldering.
