Support the reliable operation of wind and solar assets by providing electrical engineering and Balance of Plant (BoP) support across North America. Key Responsibilities

•Perform arc-flash assessments for wind and solar facilities in North America, including in-house assessments using tools such as EasyPower.
•Compile operational data and performance reports (equipment status, maintenance logs, and compliance supporting data) in support of reliability teams.
•Monitor and manage BoP system reliability for transformers, switchgear, protection systems, and power cables to support safe and continuous operations.
•Apply predictive maintenance techniques (thermal imaging and condition monitoring) to anticipate failures and plan proactive maintenance.
•Conduct BoP protection system operation assessments and lead root-cause analyses of ongoing electrical issues; develop and present status reports and KPIs.

Key Requirements

•6+ years of relevant experience as an Electrical Engineer or Specialist supporting BoP activities with exposure to renewables, plus a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a P.Eng designation.
•Conduct arc-flash assessments for wind and solar facilities, including in-house assessments using tools such as EasyPower.
•Review and analyze protection system design, including operation and coordination activities, with experience reading and managing electrical drawings.
•Apply CSA/IEEE/ANSI standards for medium and high voltage equipment and NETA standards for testing, with experience with components such as switchgear and transformers.
•Familiarity with electrical reliability work such as monitoring transformers, switchgear, protection systems, and power cables; assets include EasyPower/ETAP and BES wind/solar experience.
