Job Summary

Senior/Principal Safety in Design consultant focused on CDM compliance and design risk mitigation across infrastructure and government projects. You will work with internal teams and external clients to review design-stage risk information, develop hazard-mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with CDM 2015 and Building Safety Act 2022. This role involves advising clients, shaping safety in design approaches, and contributing to project documentation and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

•Review design-stage risk management information to identify hazards and mitigation opportunities.
•Collaborate with designers to develop creative and effective hazard-mitigation strategies and ensure design routes meet safety requirements.
•Assist in gathering information to inform risk profiles, PCI, HSF or BSA compliance plans and compile documentation for CDM compliance.
•Provide expert advisory support to clients and stakeholders on their legal responsibilities under CDM 2015 and Building Safety Act 2022.
•Contribute to safety in design project strategies, plans, and project-specific approaches across multidisciplinary teams.

Key Requirements

•A degree (or equivalent) in safety, engineering, construction, transportation, or a related field.
