Key Responsibilities

  • •Negotiate pricing and other terms of purchase; manage strategic suppliers (>$10M) and suppliers for filed activities.
  • •Procure materials, components, equipment, and services at the lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and urgency.
  • •Issue RFQs, analyze proposals, negotiate prices and delivery, and issue/adjust purchase orders in a timely manner.
  • •Expedite and ensure timely receipt of materials; follow up on orders, verify delivery, approve payment, and maintain records.
  • •Coordinate purchasing with manufacturing and engineering to maintain inventory at planned levels, review MRP regularly, and lead resolution of receiving/accounting issues.

  • •Demonstrated expanded conceptual knowledge in purchasing/materials within the discipline.
  • •Experience negotiating pricing and purchase terms, including quotes and supplier management.
  • •Ability to issue and manage RFQs, analyze proposals, and negotiate prices and delivery schedules.
