Key Responsibilities

  • •Study the data types essential for building state-of-the-art agents (e.g., browser and SWE agents) and identify data landscapes to advance intelligent, adaptable AI agents.
  • •Collaborate with customer researchers and Scale’s engineering team to translate research advancements into real-world, scalable solutions.
  • •Publish impactful research on agents and evaluation methodologies, contributing to Scale’s knowledge base and external publications.
  • •Contribute to foundational tools and frameworks for evaluating models as agents and benchmarking autonomous agent performance.
  • •Engage in cross-functional work with teams across research, product, and engineering to drive data strategy and innovation.

Key Requirements

  • •At least three years of experience addressing sophisticated ML problems, either in a research setting or product development.
  • •Practical experience with LLMs and frameworks like PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow, and ability to interpret research literature and prototype ideas quickly.
  • •Track record of published research in top ML venues (e.g., ACL, EMNLP, NAACL, NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, COLM).
  • •Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to operate cross-functionally.
  • •Ability to translate research advancements into real-world, scalable solutions and collaborate with customer researchers and engineers.
