Job Summary

Support the Department of Veterans Affairs Data Modernization initiative by designing, implementing, and maintaining database systems and data flows for distributed, large-scale environments. Build and optimize Oracle GoldenGate replication pipelines for secure, near-real-time data ingestion and synchronization between on-premises databases and Azure cloud services. Work with Azure and Databricks (including data lake components) to translate requirements into database schemas, automate infrastructure, and troubleshoot complex replication and data access issues.

Key Responsibilities

•Support database design, implementation, information storage/retrieval, data flow, and analysis activities.
•Analyze and evaluate system improvements, optimization, and/or maintenance efforts.
•Create database administration and design requirements and translate requirements/data into usable database schemas.
•Build database and data loading/parser components and develop ad hoc queries/scripts/macros to manipulate data.
•Design, deploy, and maintain Oracle GoldenGate replication pipelines to enable secure real-time data ingestion, synchronization, and zero-downtime movement with near-zero latency.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 175,000 - 195,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field (or commensurate experience).
•12+ years of experience in business analysis, project management, or a similar role.
•Hands-on experience configuring, deploying, and managing Oracle GoldenGate (Extract/Replicat, trail files, monitoring, performance tuning).
•Proficiency with Azure Cloud services (identity management, storage, networking, automation) and IAM/RBAC (service principals, key vaults, secrets management).
•Experience administering Databricks workspaces (clusters, catalogs, mount points) and strong understanding of data lake architectures (Delta Lake or structured storage systems).
