Job Summary

Build and own the technical recruiting function from the ground up, running full-cycle searches across engineering and data with data platform roles as the priority. Protect and calibrate Terminal’s technical bar with the CEO/CTO and technical leads, design interview loops and scorecards, and close senior/staff engineers in competitive markets. Own recruiting metrics, tooling (Ashby), and reporting so the hiring system scales without losing talent density.

Key Responsibilities

•Own technical recruiting end-to-end across engineering and data, including sourcing, screening, scheduling, references, offers, and closing.
•Build and maintain a Toronto engineering sourcing map to warm-start searches and run outbound personally with strong candidate messaging.
•Calibrate the technical bar with the CEO/CTO and technical leads; build interview loops, scorecards, and debrief practices.
•Close senior and staff engineers, including compensation conversations that require fluency with early-stage equity.
•Build and run the recruiting operating system using Ashby, protecting interviewer hours and tracking funnel metrics.
