Job Summary

Lead Coinbase Canada’s financial and regulatory reporting function within the Accounting organization, owning the strategy, operating model, and end-to-end processes for Canadian filings including Form 31-103F1, CIRO Form 1, and OSC/CIRO submissions. Key Responsibilities

•Own strategy and roadmap for Coinbase Canada’s financial and regulatory reporting function, including operating models, data standards, and end-to-end processes for OSC/CIRO filings.
•Serve as the primary Finance representative with Canadian regulators (OSC, CIRO) across examinations, inquiries, and Board-level reporting and communications.
•Set standards for IFRS books of account, including parallel ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and scalable, audit-ready controls and methodology.
•Lead senior management and executive stakeholders across functions (Tax, Treasury, Legal, COO, CCO, Board) to ensure capital adequacy, liquidity management, and regulatory alignment.
•Drive AI-first automation transformation of reporting cycles and scale the function through talent development and outsourced provider oversight with KPI/SLA accountability.

Key Requirements

•10+ years of progressive regulatory reporting or finance experience, including 3–4 years in a senior management/leadership role.
•5+ years owning regulatory filings for Canadian securities regulators (OSC, CIRO, IIROC or equivalent), with end-to-end reporting process improvement experience.
•Direct experience with CIRO Form 1 (or similar dealer capital adequacy filings) in a self-clearing or introducing broker-dealer context; CPA (or equivalent) required.
•Expert knowledge of IFRS and Canadian securities regulatory reporting requirements (including NI 31-103, Form 31-103F1, and CIRO capital adequacy rules).
•Track record operating as an org-level leader and using generative AI responsibly with human oversight to improve workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
