Key Responsibilities

  • •Take technical responsibility for onshore pipeline design on nominated projects, from concept through FEED and detailed design and execution.
  • •Interface with global Wood office leaders to review and plan workshare scopes, identify suitable resources, recruitment needs, and training needs.
  • •Apply in-depth knowledge of international pipeline design codes (e.g., ASME B31.4 and B31.8, IGEM TD-1, PD 8010) and support technically where required.
  • •Undertake pipeline routing, including road/rail/river crossings and buried pipeline routing, with close interfacing with the GIS team.
  • •Perform and check pipeline design calculations, prepare key pipeline documentation (e.g., design basis, detailed calculations/reports, stress analysis, engineering specifications, data sheets), and ensure HSEQ compliance.

Key Requirements

  • •Civil or mechanical engineering degree qualification, with suitable onshore pipeline design experience.
  • •Previous experience in mechanical and civil design and construction of onshore pipeline projects, including pipeline procurement and construction execution strategies.
  • •Experience routing onshore pipelines across varied terrains and designing river crossings.
  • •Familiarity with GIS technology and routing methodologies.
  • •Proven experience across concept, Pre-FEED, FEED, and detailed design, including pipeline installation/commissioning/operations and maintenance analysis.
  • •Experienced using pipeline design software (AutoCAD, CAESAR II, AutoPipe, MATHCAD).
  • •Understanding of material selection, process design, and HSEQ aspects, and ability to develop material specifications.
  • •Ability to write coherent reports in clear English and communicate across all business levels.
