Key Responsibilities

•Take technical responsibility for onshore pipeline design on nominated projects, from concept through FEED and detailed design and execution.
•Interface with global Wood office leaders to review and plan workshare scopes, identify suitable resources, recruitment needs, and training needs.
•Apply in-depth knowledge of international pipeline design codes (e.g., ASME B31.4 and B31.8, IGEM TD-1, PD 8010) and support technically where required.
•Undertake pipeline routing, including road/rail/river crossings and buried pipeline routing, with close interfacing with the GIS team.
•Perform and check pipeline design calculations, prepare key pipeline documentation (e.g., design basis, detailed calculations/reports, stress analysis, engineering specifications, data sheets), and ensure HSEQ compliance.

Key Requirements

•Civil or mechanical engineering degree qualification, with suitable onshore pipeline design experience.
•Previous experience in mechanical and civil design and construction of onshore pipeline projects, including pipeline procurement and construction execution strategies.
•Experience routing onshore pipelines across varied terrains and designing river crossings.
•Familiarity with GIS technology and routing methodologies.
•Proven experience across concept, Pre-FEED, FEED, and detailed design, including pipeline installation/commissioning/operations and maintenance analysis.
•Experienced using pipeline design software (AutoCAD, CAESAR II, AutoPipe, MATHCAD).
•Understanding of material selection, process design, and HSEQ aspects, and ability to develop material specifications.
•Ability to write coherent reports in clear English and communicate across all business levels.
