Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the global event calendar and run events end to end, including sponsorship negotiation, booth, staffing, messaging, budget, and on-site execution.
  • •Build activation around major moments by designing side-events and guest lists for target accounts.
  • •Create and run GitBook-owned events (roadshows, customer summits, docs-focused meetups, launch moments) including format and experience.
  • •Experiment with community activation with DevRel colleagues (e.g., hackathons, docs sprints) using a clear readout on what works.
  • •Create and own online events (webinars, virtual roundtables, livestreams) and coordinate execution and follow-up to pipeline impact.
Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

  • •7–10 years in B2B SaaS marketing with a meaningful stretch in field marketing, event marketing, or integrated demand generation, including running international programs (especially in the USA).
  • •Strong ROI mindset: you discuss opportunities and cost per opportunity, defend event budgets with numbers, and stop events that don’t earn their place.
  • •Real operational range across sponsorship negotiation, event execution, and reporting (e.g., building a HubSpot dashboard/report or knowing how to get it built).
  • •Sales credibility: you can answer pipeline review questions about spend without defensiveness and build trust with AEs.
  • •Ownership mindset: no playbook—write the process, flag problems early, and don’t wait for direction.
