Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible operation of central energy plant equipment to meet utility and energy requirements.
  • •Perform shift operations and maintenance, including startup and shutdown of utility systems and ancillary equipment during single-person operations.
  • •Respond to operational upset conditions, monitor systems by reading/recording gauges and meters, and collect/log performance data via handheld electronic tablet.
  • •Perform electrical switching and lock-out/tag-out (LOTO), conduct inspections, troubleshoot, and complete maintenance tasks as assigned.
  • •Carry out routine water chemistry testing/adjustments, manage chemical/gas/fuel/water consumables and inventories, maintain operating logs/CMMS records, and lead monthly safety meeting responsibilities as part of the Site Safety committee.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent.
  • •Minimum of five years of power plant operations and maintenance experience.
  • •Knowledge of utility plant mechanical and electrical equipment (e.g., turbines/engines, pumps, chillers, generators, water treatment, control systems, and electrical distribution).
  • •Experience with at least four listed systems (e.g., gas-fired engines/turbines, HRSG, chilled/hot water systems, compressed air, reverse osmosis, water softeners, emissions control).
  • •Experience with at least four listed skills (e.g., pipefitting, welding, machining, rigging, rotating machine repair, fabrication/alignment, basic vibration analysis) and ability to use hand tools/testing equipment.
