Key Responsibilities

  • •Ingest and maintain security-relevant telemetry in Elasticsearch, integrating with cloud and third-party APIs and handling schema changes.
  • •Keep Elastic Cloud on Kubernetes clusters healthy by monitoring, upgrading, managing capacity/shards, and running index lifecycle management (ILM) and cross-cluster search (CCS).
  • •Use Terraform to manage cloud infrastructure and Elasticsearch resources, including pipelines, index templates, and alerts, and deploy scheduled ingest jobs with Kubernetes/Helm.
  • •Improve reliability and data quality by monitoring backfills, ensuring consistent schemas/fields, and tracking costs.
  • •Reduce operational toil using AI automation and tooling such as self-healing jobs, health checks, alerting, internal CLIs, and agent-assisted investigation workflows.

Key Requirements

  • •Ability to operate Elastic and Elasticsearch in production, including ingest pipelines, index templates, mappings, and queries while keeping clusters healthy and upgraded.
  • •Experience ingesting security telemetry into Elasticsearch, integrating with third-party/cloud REST APIs (authentication, pagination, rate limits, schema changes).
  • •Hands-on Kubernetes experience, including deploying and operating workloads (scheduled jobs, Helm charts/operators) and troubleshooting pods/jobs.
  • •Terraform experience managing cloud and Elasticsearch resources as code (pipelines, index templates, alerts).
  • •Python scripting skills to read, write, and modify ingestion/automation scripts for operational tooling.
