Key Responsibilities

  • •Instruct students on Workplace and Environmental Safety aligned to approved syllabus topics for flying operations, airfield operations, and aviation & ground support equipment maintenance/usage.
  • •Develop and regularly review courseware, recommend updates to course materials and assessment materials, and deliver or supervise demonstrations and practical multimedia sessions.
  • •Conduct assessments and phase-end examinations to ensure training objectives are achieved, and track academic progress, lesson attendance, and discipline.
  • •Adopt and promote independent learning and a military ethos; counsel and motivate students on academic and discipline matters as applicable.
  • •Maintain curriculum/courseware configuration control documentation, integrate new training materials or equipment, ensure training equipment maintenance/storage, contribute to timetables/scheduling, and ensure SHE compliance and Duty of Care.

Key Requirements

  • •Graduate of a Service or Civilian Flying or Technical Training Institute.
  • •Accredited Workplace/Aviation safety-related qualifications and completion of a formal Instructional Techniques Course (or equivalent).
  • •Experience delivering safety training in a technical or operational environment, including recent classroom experience as a Safety Instructor.
  • •Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially MS Word and PowerPoint.
  • •Desirable: military aviation background, technical experience in manufacturing or maintenance, accident investigation, and/or Human Factors experience/qualifications.
