Job Summary

Provide technical support to operations management for surveying, drilling and blasting, exploration, reserve evaluation, inventory management, and mine design for permitting and mine planning. Conduct drone and traditional inventory/boundary/topography surveys, develop phased short-, medium-, and long-term mine plans, and use mine planning software for engineering tasks such as reserve estimation and exploration, while promoting technologies that improve costs, safety, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

•Conduct inventory surveys using drone and traditional surveying methods.
•Survey boundaries, limits, and topography for mine planning and property management.
•Prepare phased short-, medium-, and long-term mine plans for operations management.
•Use mine planning software for projects including overburden stripping plans, reserve estimation, exploration, and SEC documentation.
•Promote technology and engineering factors that affect the costs, safety, and sustainability impacts of surface or underground mining.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Mine Engineering, Geology, or a related field from a four-year college or technical school.
•Minimum of two years of relevant experience is preferred.
•Proficiency with mine planning software is required; experience with Carlson Surface Mining Module is preferred.
•Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Manual of Safety Practices and Procedures.
•Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
