Key Responsibilities

  • •Help shape privacy and data protection compliance globally, including GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and emerging AI-specific regulatory frameworks.
  • •Build and scale Sierra’s privacy program — policies, playbooks, risk frameworks, and training.
  • •Monitor global privacy and AI regulatory developments and counsel leadership on implications for Sierra’s products and customers; develop specific privacy expertise in core industries such as healthcare and financial services.
  • •Develop and implement privacy and AI governance policies and frameworks to ensure responsible deployment, ethical data usage, and regulatory adherence.
  • •Partner with product, engineering, and business teams to embed privacy-by-design principles and data governance into how Sierra’s platform is built and operated.

Key Requirements

  • •3-5 years of legal experience, including at least 3 years of large law firm experience.
  • •Strong working knowledge of global privacy regimes and data protection frameworks, with comfort advising on novel AI implications.
  • •Ability to partner closely with technical teams to develop a deep understanding of Sierra’s products.
  • •Ability to translate complex legal requirements into clear, product-ready guidance.
  • •Strong communication skills and the ability to partner with both legal and non-legal stakeholders.
