Job Summary

Oversee and direct day-to-day operation and maintenance of utility assets within the Central Utility Complex and related energy infrastructure at an automotive manufacturing facility. Lead onsite as the company liaison to ensure safe, efficient, reliable, and environmentally responsible operations. Manage O&M technicians and skilled trades, drive predictive/preventive maintenance, investigate incidents, support budgets, and partner on planned outage and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

•Oversee, manage, and direct day-to-day operation and maintenance of utility assets, including the Central Utility Complex and related equipment across the facility.
•Maintain a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with site safety and environmental requirements and procedures.
•Manage O&M technicians and skilled trades, including schedules to minimize overtime and ensure proper training and adherence to standards.
•Establish and maintain predictive/preventive maintenance requirements in the maintenance management system; investigate operating abnormalities and forced outages; prepare operation reports.
•Collaborate with the Plant Manager on budgets, planned outage project management, continuous improvement metrics, and management of change; coach and mentor CI capabilities and support staffing/recruiting activities.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED.
•At least 8 years of supervisory or managerial experience in a cogeneration power plant with a represented (union) workforce.
•Thorough understanding of plant operations and maintenance, including generating equipment, boilers, and water treatment processes.
•Planning and scheduling experience with O&M and preventative/predictive maintenance and corrective maintenance.
•Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to work shifts and extra/irregular hours (including respirator fit test qualification).
