Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform design, analysis, implementation, test and lifecycle support of nominated mechanical components, modules, subsystems and configuration items.
  • •Provide assistance and direction to integration teams in resolving trouble reports involving mechanical issues.
  • •Conduct reviews of contractual documentation, identify project/product risks, and escalate using defined processes.
  • •Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels.
  • •Operate within a matrix organisation to support mechanical engineering services for the MV CLCM Program.

Key Requirements

  • •Tertiary qualification in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering, with professional development sufficient to attain Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) recognition and ability to attain RPEQ registration.
  • •Minimum of five (5) years’ relevant experience where a university degree is held.
  • •Experience conducting mechanical discipline activities, including involvement in systems engineering practices such as requirements development, design, design integration, and verification and validation.
  • •Experience developing and reviewing mechanical engineering documentation, including mechanical CAD drawings, hazard logs, work instructions, test procedures, and engineering reports.
  • •Eligible to obtain and maintain an NV1 Defence Security Clearance.
