Key Responsibilities

  • •Coordinate and execute emissions testing programs, including operating emissions analyzers, collecting data, and performing data reduction and statistical analysis.
  • •Lead and assist state and federally required air emissions testing and maintain the testing trailers’ general upkeep.
  • •Develop and submit permit-required state and federal air emission test protocols and technical reports ahead of mandated deadlines.
  • •Assist with air permit reviews and data requests, including maintaining equipment and calibration gas inventory and related maintenance/replacement schedules.
  • •Travel to Kinder Morgan sites for engine air emissions testing (including DOT log maintenance), and assist mechanics with troubleshooting, tuning, and evaluating compression engine performance.

Key Requirements

  • •A 4-year engineering or science degree from an accredited school.
  • •Proficiency in basic engineering skills and troubleshooting/maintenance of analyzers, generator, computers, and related systems.
  • •Specific knowledge of natural gas compression engine operation and general knowledge of compressor stations, gathering systems, and processing plant operation.
  • •Knowledge of air emissions testing, including analysis and interpretation of large datasets to prepare technical reports and support regulatory compliance.
  • •Ability to learn/communicate with unit automation using Wonderware InTouch or other programming languages, and familiarity reading mechanical/electrical blueprints and P&IDs.
