Job Summary

Define and evolve Aqua’s visual identity—illustration style, color, typography, iconography, and motion—across web, iOS, and Android. Create original artwork and maintain detailed visual style guides so teams and external illustrators can extend the product world consistently. Partner with product designers and engineers to apply the visual system across UI and in-app moments, and review work to ensure everything stays on-brand and production-ready.

•Define and evolve Aqua’s visual identity across web, iOS, and Android, including illustration style, color palette, typography, iconography, and motion.
•Create original illustrations, graphics, and artwork that bring Aqua’s characters, environments, and moments of delight to life.
•Build and maintain visual style guides documenting the Aqua visual language for other designers and illustrators.
•Direct and review artwork from illustrators and contract designers, providing actionable feedback to keep assets on-brand and on-quality.
•Partner with product designers and engineers to apply the visual system across UI, marketing surfaces, and in-app moments, collaborating to ensure production-ready and faithful implementation.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 124,600 - 234,250 annually

Key Requirements

•5+ years of visual design experience with a portfolio showing illustration, art direction, and the ability to define a cohesive visual identity.
•Experience designing for children and families or other playful consumer audiences, with judgment for joyful, age-appropriate aesthetics.
•Deep craft skills in illustration, color, typography, and composition, with a distinctive point of view.
•Experience creating and documenting visual style guides that others can execute against.
•Proficiency in industry-standard design and illustration tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Figma) and comfort working with AI-assisted creative workflows.
