Key Responsibilities

  • •Define mechanical architecture for space test equipment platforms, including enclosures, fixtures, harness routing, mounting/alignment, thermal control hardware, and integration hardware.
  • •Create detailed 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings, assembly instructions, technician work instructions, and technician-ready documentation.
  • •Perform mechanical analyses and modeling (structural, modal, thermal, tolerance stack-up, fit/function) and use tools like FEA/thermal simulation to ensure compliance.
  • •Lead prototyping and troubleshooting through hands-on lab testing, including fabrication (machine shop, sheet metal, additive manufacturing/3D printing) and rapid design iteration.
  • •Support electrical-mechanical integration and automated test systems by designing test fixtures and mechanical interfaces, integrating motion stages/sensors/actuators with control software, and troubleshooting during lab testing and flight/integration activities.

Key Requirements

  • •Ability to obtain a U.S. Top Secret security clearance post-start (requires U.S. citizenship).
