Serve as a technical subject matter expert for the bank’s Energy Finance team, providing engineering, operational, and economic analysis for upstream, midstream, and downstream oil and gas assets. Evaluate reserves, production forecasts, and capital programs to support lending, investment, and risk management decisions. Lead technical due diligence for loans and structured transactions, monitor borrower performance vs. engineering projections, and collaborate with bankers, credit officers, and risk managers.

Key Responsibilities

•Conduct engineering-based evaluations of client assets, including reserves, production profiles, and development plans.
•Provide technical due diligence for loans, structured finance, and capital markets transactions involving oil and gas companies.
•Assess field development plans, drilling programs, and production strategies to validate borrower projections.
•Analyze economic models (NPV, IRR, payout) using commodity pricing, operating costs, and development risks.
•Monitor ongoing borrower performance against engineering projections and report variances to credit/risk teams, supporting portfolio monitoring and collaboration with bankers and risk managers.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree.
•10+ years of experience in petroleum engineering, reservoir evaluation, or oil & gas asset management.
•Strong understanding of reserves classification systems (SEC, PRMS) and engineering evaluation methodologies.
•Proficiency with petroleum engineering software such as Aries and PHDWin (or similar reserves/economics tools).
•Ability to translate technical analysis into business and credit implications, with excellent communication skills.
