Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform daily operation and upkeep of the water treatment department, including inspections, equipment monitoring, and preventative maintenance.
  • •Monitor water and wastewater treatment control systems and recording devices, and complete daily records and paperwork.
  • •Conduct daily lab testing of water treatment effluent and adjust process control to stay within discharge limits.
  • •Load and move by-product trailers and tankers, and serve as the daily point of contact for deliveries and pick-ups.
  • •Clean and organize water treatment areas and equipment, perform plant water softener testing/operational maintenance, and report mechanical or process deficiencies.

Key Requirements

  • •1–2 years’ experience in operations and maintenance of water treatment plants with ancillary/auxiliary equipment and distribution systems.
  • •Must possess or obtain within 12 months of employment a Water Treatment Operator Certification.
  • •Able to read, write, and comprehend English to communicate effectively.
  • •Knowledge of maintenance/water treatment terminology to communicate with technical personnel.
  • •Valid driver’s license; experience driving a tractor/trailer or yard truck is preferred.
