Key Responsibilities

•Manage and grow a team of data scientists focused on modeling key business problems.
•Mentor and guide team members as they build out quantitative models in python using industry-standard techniques.
•Evangelize the data science team’s capabilities and integrate with product, engineering and operations teams to build a roadmap and backlog of data science solutions with business impact.
•Run quarterly planning with the engagement of business stakeholders to ensure that the team is running in the right direction.
•Help lead the team’s adoption of AI-assisted development and agentic workflows, including identifying practical use cases, setting working norms, and ensuring these tools are used with appropriate review, validation, privacy, and quality standards.

Key Requirements

•2+ years of Data Science management with a team of >3
•5+ years of modeling/data science experience overall
•2+ years of experience at a consumer product company
•Deep technical expertise in SQL and Python, with experience in analytics and machine learning tools (dbt, Airflow, Spark, MLflow, etc.)
•A Master’s or PhD in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or Applied Mathematics) is strongly preferred
