Key Responsibilities

  • •Use technology to create, assign, and monitor work orders, track service intervals, order parts, and diagnose equipment issues using machine data.
  • •Practice safe job practices while performing repairs and preventive maintenance on power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and oil-free air compressors.
  • •Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations, and handle repairs in both settings.
  • •Set up and operate equipment at the shop and customer sites, working individually or with another technician.
  • •Maintain complete electronic documentation of work performed and assist with equipment/parts pick-up and delivery.

Key Requirements

  • •Must own tools applicable to the position and have advanced mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of tools.
  • •Experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, including inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
  • •Ability to travel weekly to support business needs and to travel to customer job sites when required.
  • •Knowledge of calculating nominal/effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, plus ability to read and work with schematics.
  • •High school diploma; trade school certificate preferred, with EPA 608 certification preferred (or ability to obtain within 6–12 months).
