Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and ship customer-facing APIs that expose new model capabilities, owning them from prototype through launch and iteration.
  • •Scale inference infrastructure to support large production usage.
  • •Partner with researchers to productionize new techniques with production latency, reliability, and usability.
  • •Work with customers and Applied teams to understand how users build with the products and feed insights into product and research direction.
  • •Contribute across the stack as needed, including backend services, inference infrastructure, SDKs, and internal tooling.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: GBP 120,000 - 145,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Strong backend engineering experience building and supporting machine learning infrastructure and/or production customer-facing APIs.
  • •Comfort operating with ambiguity as research and product timelines may not align.
  • •Curiosity about AI/ML and enough understanding to make good engineering decisions about models.
  • •Ability to collaborate daily with researchers, applied engineers, and sometimes customers with different priorities.
  • •Experience helping take model capabilities from prototype/POC into production-ready services.
