Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure integrity and reliability of plant electrical, instrumentation, and automation systems.
  • •Perform advanced installation, diagnosis, calibration, documentation, maintenance, and repair for electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.
  • •Support the Electric Shop with troubleshooting, call-ins, scheduled/emergency repairs, shutdowns, outages, and projects (including unscheduled overtime).
  • •Provide planning assistance on specialized equipment or projects.
  • •Maintain and troubleshoot paper mill and power plant controls, including PLC automation, DCS/QCS computers, UPS systems, drives/motor control, scanners, and ignition/air-fuel ration systems.

Key Requirements

  • •Must have a Journeyman Electrician Card for the job position.
  • •Associate Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or minimum 5 years of experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting industrial electrical controls and systems.
  • •High voltage experience required.
  • •Proficient in computer controls software; PC skills including MS Office products.
  • •Strong understanding of meters/instruments and wiring/diagrams (piping and instrument diagrams, signal flow diagrams, wiring diagrams, panel drawings, one-line drawings, loop sheets, wire lists).
