Job Function: Business Development & Partnerships

Key Responsibilities

  • •Identify, structure, and execute tailored solutions across public and private markets, including public investments, structured products, hedging/derivatives, financing, and private side activities aligned to client objectives and risk appetite.
  • •Build strong day-to-day partnerships with UHNW RMs and internal specialists to shape client strategies, develop proposals, and deliver high-quality client outcomes.
  • •Collaborate across product desks and platform stakeholders within Private Bank to drive UHNW offerings and streamline product development and approval processes.
  • •Leverage capabilities across Corporate and Investment Bank, Asset Management, and other HSBC lines of business (and selected third parties) to deliver scalable bespoke solutions for UHNW clients.
  • •Maintain origination and execution cadence through pipeline tracking, sales reporting, and activity management; help design and improve governance, operational controls, and risk processes for responsible delivery.

Key Requirements

  • •Background in Corporate and Institutional Banking, Capital Markets, Investment Banking Advisory, or Structured Credit, with interest in transitioning to a client-facing product role in Private Bank.
  • •Genuine curiosity about wealth management and investment products, including understanding how business owners think about personal and business finances together.
  • •A solutions mindset to identify issues, think critically under pressure, and mobilize internal/external resources to unblock delivery while balancing suitability, risk appetite, and governance needs.
  • •Experience supporting UHNW Private Bank clients, particularly business owners/entrepreneurs, in a role focused on progression toward independent origination and delivery.
  • •Commercial mindset and sales capability to monetize opportunities, present complex ideas clearly, and build senior client engagement and business development outcomes.
