Job Summary

Coordinate and supervise mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance for plant equipment and machinery, including kilns, mills, crushers, and conveying systems. Lead mechanical projects (Opex/Capex) with the project team and manage a maintenance department of about 18 mechanics. Drive safety compliance with plant and MSHA rules, troubleshoot unusual maintenance issues, schedule mechanical work for daily and outage activities, and oversee contractors, vendors, planning, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

•Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines and ensure maintenance personnel comply with plant and MSHA safety rules and regulations.
•Establish, communicate, and assign job responsibilities, goals, and performance standards; evaluate performance and recommend merit increases and promotions.
•Review maintenance plans; schedule mechanical activities and supervise mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance (daily and outage).
•Collaborate and report progress on maintenance projects and priorities with other personnel; compile records and data and prepare reports for management.
•Supervise contractors and coordinate with vendors regarding new maintenance equipment and supplies.

Key Requirements

•Minimum 4-year/Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or a closely related engineering field (or equivalent education and experience).
•Minimum 7 years of experience in related maintenance functions with supervisory responsibilities in a cement or related industry (preferred).
•Ability to analyze facts, exercise sound judgment, and solve problems with close attention to detail and accuracy.
•Knowledge of MSHA safety regulations and ability to ensure compliance with plant and MSHA safety rules and regulations.
•Ability to lead and manage maintenance organizations, including supervising employees and contractors.
