Key Responsibilities

  • •Take over, structure, and lead the existing team to scale the automated testing module to around eight engineers by mid-2027.
  • •Design a versioned scenario library covering nominal, edge, off-nominal, and contested flight conditions, expanding into Monte Carlo and multi-agent testing.
  • •Establish execution strategy and gating policies across SITL, HITL, and CI, including telemetry capture, deterministic replay, and coverage analytics.
  • •Negotiate and maintain technical boundaries with Tooling and co-ownership splits with Validation, including acceptance criteria and sign-off.
  • •Continuously correlate simulation models against real flight data to close the sim-to-real gap and ensure test gates reflect real-world readiness.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years in automated testing, simulation-based validation, or test engineering for complex physical or hardware-in-the-loop systems.
  • •Hands-on experience designing scenario-based test suites on a simulation platform and defining defect-catching coverage.
  • •Proficiency in Python, C++, Linux, Docker, and CI environments, with deep expertise in scenario design and SITL/HITL execution.
  • •Ability to step into an existing engineering team and lead distributed engineers effectively (Paris and Lausanne).
  • •A rigorous, analytical validation mindset for noisy physical metrics, false positives, and flaky test environments.
