Key Responsibilities

•Weigh feed and water amounts; walk floors daily to inspect water lines, remove and dispose of mortality, and monitor birds for weak or sick signs.
•Drive a farm truck to move birds into grow-out houses and transfer birds into appropriate pens using the specified door.
•Calculate pen sizes based on incoming bird numbers; adjust partitions and manage floor shavings; regulate poultry-house temperature and humidity per instruction.
•Sort birds by breast size (fleshing) and collect weekly samples (cleft pallet swabs, feed, and shavings) for the corporate lab.
•Perform additional duties as assigned, including sanitation, vaccinating/isolation for disease control, administering medications, and euthanizing weak/ill birds per policy.

Key Requirements

•Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no employment gaps greater than 6 months in the past 36 months (18 months if laid off or providing child/elder care).

•Must be willing to sign agreements and follow Company Biosecurity and Animal Welfare Guidelines.
•Must be able to meet physical demands, including safely lifting/moving up to 50 pounds and performing repetitive bending/stooping tasks.
•Willingness to drive a vehicle within the farm complex and work in wet, slippery, dusty, and extreme temperature conditions.
